BELLEVUE RENDEZVOUS (Scotland)

BELLEVUE RENDEZVOUS (Scotland)

Bellevue Rendezvous was formed in 2006, as a result of a mutual love of beautiful, quirky and varied tunes from all over the world. They are an acoustic trio featuring an unusual combination of instruments - including the nyckelharpa which is very rarely seen in the UK. The line up is Gavin Marwick (fiddle), Ruth Morris, (nyckelharpa) and Cameron Robson (bouzouki). In their current repertoire they have many original tunes, as well as music from Scotland, Ireland, England, Wales, Serbia, France, Brittany, Macedonia, Poland, Canada, Finland and Sweden.

They have been described as vibrant, dynamic, exciting, original, sensitive and lyrical. Individually they play or have played with, amongst others, Cantrip, Iron Horse, Unusual Suspects, Deaf Shepherd, Zabalka, Rory McLeod and Jonny Hardie. They released their first album, called ‘Tangents’, in May 2007 and have appeared live on Global Gathering (Radio Scotland) and at Celtic Connections...

FFLUR DAFYDD (Wales)

FFLUR DAFYDD (Wales)

Petite Fflur, despite her struggles to reach the microphone, has managed to become one of Wales’ top singer songwriters, who has performed in Ireland, Belgium, Croatia, Finland and the United States. She has released two albums, one as part of the psychotic girl band Y Panics, "Pethau Rhyfedd", and the second as a solo artist "Coch am Weddill fy Oes." (Red for the rest of my days.) Having released two singles with the Rasal label, she is now working on her second solo album with her very funky backing band "Y Barf" (The Beard.) She now embarks on a three month promotional tour in anticipation of her second album, due for release on November 16th, 2007.

LITTLE GEORGE SUEREF (UK)

LITTLE GEORGE SUEREF (UK)

Little George is part Welsh, part Greek. In the eighties he decided to make London his home and joined the legendary Big Joe Louis. Little George soon became known as one of the U.K.'s finest and unusual blues singers and won the 'Blueprint' magazine "Harp Player Of The Year" award 3 times.

In 2000 he recorded an album for Pussycat Records with two blues legends - Lazy Lester & Jimmy Thomas. 'Mojo' magazine made it their "Essential Blues CD" and included as one of their top 5 picks of the year! This album has been a best seller for many stores and is now becoming a hit in the U.S.A. Little George has also performed for many radio shows, guesting for Charlie Gillett,John Peel, Jools Holland and Paul Jones!

This 3 times award winner has a very downhome style and soulful voice of which some people have likened to Ted Taylor, J.B. Lenoir and even Little Willie John, but whilst drawing on his many influences, he does it his own way.

Here on a hill called Longital they wrote soulful songs coloured with ambient sounds, organic electronics, eastern european beats and a touch of psychedelia. Shina picked up the bass, Daniel picked up an old bow, they set up their own label, released 6 CDs and set out to tour Europe.
