Glangwenlais Farm is half mile from Cilycwm in the upper Towy Valley, in the Cambrian Mountains. Mallaen mountain rises behind it and the flat valley floor opens out in front.

A few miles further up the valley is Rhandirmwyn , Llyn Brianne reservoir and the spectacular mountain scenery which provided a refuge for the last few pairs of the red kite at the beginning of the 20th century. Here too is "Twm Sion Cati's cave" where the 18th century "Tom Jones" hid from the angry father of one of his lady friends.
Cilycwm - slogan "a better place to be" - has a very active Community Association which serves a remarkable community. See the website for more details:
